ARTIST'S STATEMENT
I believe the interaction and emotional connection between painter and viewer allows individuals to remove the 'noise' of life, open dialog with our minds and ourselves, and drive introspection and reflection.
Once noise is removed, we are able to question 'why' and 'how' one thinks, and understand we need to learn, question and further understand our minds and actions while removing judgement.
One can then focus on being a progressor of humanity and drive oneself to enlightening minds through truly seeing, listening, thinking, feeling and acting. To become one’s own 'Creator' while engaging in life and the betterment of humanity, no matter how big or small.
My works are expressions of concepts and feelings that have been burning in my mind for years. I have numerous faults, fears, questions, and anxieties which I’m attempting to explore and minimize on a daily basis from impacting myself, my mind and my life.
The inability to be mindful of my existence, the universe, and the unknown, can negatively and consistently keep me from striving for progress and exploration of my life. I believe many others face the same impediments.
Art allows us to focus on this moment and this life, not another life. To create one’s own meaning of life. I hope it may help bring some of the same sentiments to the viewer of my work.
To strive for progress, while doing so in moderation, and understanding its ebbs and flows natural to all humans. Continually learning, using logic and rational thinking, while consistently exploring, keeping amazed and interested in life.
Realizing the power of the mind and power of the will.
